In Vinyasa yoga classes, students coordinate movement with breath to flow from one pose to the next. Vinyasa is also the term used to describe a specific sequence of poses (Chaturanga to Upward-Facing Dog to Downward-Facing Dog) commonly used throughout a vinyasa class.

In this 2 hour "Flow Into Basics" workshop Katie will break postures down with breath, give you alignment techniques and modifications. She will provide the foundation for arm balances and inversions including side crow and headstand.

 

RYT with Yoga Alliance are eligible for 2 contact hours CEC when attending this workshop.

 Detailed movement assessment utilizing a deep understand of musculoskeletal anatomy and human kinetics to identify areas of aberrant or limited movement and/or pain, followed by a lecture on how to turn assessment into intervention. We will take specific Yoga poses, movements, and/or exercises that would help restore that motion.

WHY WE LVE YOGA

Just wanted to take a moment to thank everyone I have been in contact with since I first showed up this past Sunday. You have all been very gracious and helpful to a newbie. I will admit I was a little skeptical of yoga at first but after 3 classes I have really developed an appreciation for the not only the physical but the mental benefits of yoga. I'm always spent at the end of class but my mind is totally calm and the energy I feel 10 minutes afterwards is amazing. Yoga is a true challenge to the mind and body which will make me a better athlete and person. Thanks for what you all do and I look forward to my continued growth through practicing yoga. Allan
